Top Cryptocurrency Apps Performance in Germany: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top cryptocurrency apps on the unified platform in Germany showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Bitpanda: Kaufe BTC & Krypto saw its weekly downloads peak at approximately 66K in mid-January, before declining steadily to around 6.7K by the end of March. Active users initially increased, peaking at over 920K in January, but saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at around 670K.

Pi Network experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads, reaching over 55K by late February. Active users also rose sharply, peaking at approximately 750K in the same period, before tapering off to around 546K by the end of March.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto had a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching nearly 40K in January. However, downloads decreased to about 13K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 799K in January, then declining to approximately 509K.

Phantom - Crypto Wallet showed a strong start with downloads peaking at over 40K in January, but experienced a consistent decrease, ending the quarter at about 2.2K. Active users also decreased, from a high of approximately 363K in January to about 179K by March.

Coinbase: Buy BTC, ETH, SOL experienced an increase in weekly downloads, peaking at nearly 29K in January, before declining to around 3.2K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar pattern, reaching a high of approximately 673K in January and closing the quarter at around 407K.
